December 27th... A nod to Cancer... as an influence for the
New Moon June 14 - July 12, 2026
Today my influences were cold - it's cold in the house. Also I am in a lot of pain because my back is out. I have been doing energy healing on myself to get by, but I have to go to the chiropractor on Monday, because L4 and L5 are out, the sciatica is flaring up and I am experiencing stabbing pain in my ankle.
Today I also seriously began working on the 1st Moon piece... which I am not going to reveal until it's done. I cannot allow the observer to affect the observed with these pieces and plan on showing the finished pieces at the end of each cycle.
However, the piece is about scenes from Tomales Bay, in my childhood. As an only child, I spent the weekends in my childhood years in a visually idyllic situation on a beautiful salt-water bay in California alone in a domestic violence situation.
What would have been a magnificent opportunity for fun and joy was lonely, grueling, and terrifying most of the time...therefore I am curious to see what comes out in the artwork.
The images in these prints inspired me to revisit some of my experiences, and I will likely "read" it at the end, as I would an Auragraph...so those thoughts were lingering throughout the day as I pulled these prints:
