.... especially when it sits in front of a nice sunny window. I've always been mesmerized by bright, bold colors. I guess you can tell by the happy art I create sometimes.
This amber decorative pitcher is from the 60's and when I was growing up, there were two see-through shelves over a bar that divided the kitchen and dining areaa of our house. Not a bar like in "serving alcoholic drinks", but a bar that gave extra seating in addition to the dining table. We had stools there and we kids loved eating and creating there.
I have another large red vase from the same time, but it is not in this grouping.
I bought this glass purse off of ebay, I don't know how many years ago. Bright... .right ?
...and even better because it is actually a lamp ! It looks quite lovely when lit at night.
This is another piece I bought off of ebay one time. You can see the whole of it in the first photo. It's built like a stemmed vase, but it has a fused glass face on either side and on top it has what appears to be flames of red hair. It is signed, but not totally readable exactly, so I have never been able to figure out the artist. I would really love to know, because I would like some more pieces if they were this fun !
This is a very tall wooden candlestick that I bought at a consignment store very cheap and used it as a free standing coaster.... ha ha.....as the top of it was round and indented and it holds a glass really nice. Great for a space where there is not enough room for a table. Then later I acquired this decorative ball that has a flat surface for sitting without rolling. I wasn't thinking to display it this way, but you know, sometimes things you didn't plan, come together nicely.
Even better when the sun shines through.
I'm on my lunch time and thought I'd share this quick, happy glass post.
