Well! Here I am again. Did you set your clock up last night? I did, well, most of them are digital and they changed themselves, but I was up and playing at my art table when it all happened. LOL I was watching a collage paper making video on youtube, on my TV with one eye and working on my own art with the other, when I noticed it was almost two, so I pulled my laptop near me and sat there and stared at the time till it flipped from 1:59 PM to 3:00 PM. It was pretty neat. Then I went back to my art playing for another hour.
For that reason, here at 11 AM, I have only been up a few minutes more than an hour and and I am dashing this post in kind of quickly, so I can get ready to go to Mom's. I did get a shower in that hour and get my cup of water, a babybel cheese and a few Sesame Oat Sticks for a tiny, quickie breakfast... of a sort.
Night before last, I decided to put something over the little 8x8 heart painting I tried to put together for Valentines. Although it was several versions before I posted back then, the version I showed in the Valentine collage was it's last version and not something I was happy with, so it was due a do-over. I decided to build a collage over it. I started in one direction which turned out to not be a happy path, so part way through, a new direction emerged and this is how it ended up. Because I love bold bright colors, this version pleased me and now it is done.
I sometimes say when I post these close up, that they do look somewhat different from a few steps back. Although close up shows all the details, from a distance, sometimes the design or what pops out the most changes.
Below is where I hung it temporarily to see how it looks on the wall. You can see how some of the transparent areas that showed close up now look a little more solid
After that I worked on another art playing card. I think it might need one more thing, one more accessory....a final piece of jewelry as I sometimes humorously think of it. I didn't know what that was at the time and I needed some sleep before the sun came up, so this is how I left it.
This is my new purchase. She's big and colorful and fits right in here. The artist's name is Jenny Breniff. I found her art on DPW (Daily Paint Works). A lot of art on that site is small, but this one is not. It's a 30x24 and she had named it "Just Live!!". I had "liked" it long back, but in the last month, I decided it needed to join me, so I bought it. She fits in very beautifully here.
