Recently I was making some more messes, I mean art, in my journal. Thought I'd share a couple of pages. First a photo of where they are now and then a small animation of some of the changes they took before the end.
It seemed that a lot of my previous works had a lot of blue teal, pinks and..... I thought I would try to purposely do other colors. It's kind of a mess, but it still seemed pretty happy.
When I was working on something else I have not finished, I had pulled some yellow papers out to try to make them fit in, but they didn't. So when I sat down to play again, there were the yellow papers in a pile and I thought... why not ?! Then I pulled a few more pieces to put with them and this is what happent.
... and one more I did a week ago or more. I had some new stencils with a jumble of numbers. I kind of thought more of them would be showing through when done, but that didn't work out and I didn't put any back on the top. I liked some areas and some color combinations, while other parts... meh....
You can see a few more of the numbers for a while in the animation. I'll try again later.
While you are working, doing some part of your job that you can do mostly on auto pilot, do you have random useless thoughts? (Not THAT kind you perv! 🤣),,, The other day I reached for a kleenex while working and the thought crossed my mind about how many billions they are making and how they are only good for a few seconds before they are thrown away. It lead me back to when I was growing up and my Dad always carried a white hanky in his pocket. Not the pish-posh-jacket-pocket hanky you wear while standing on your yacht, but just a regular everyday white cotton hanky.
Now if you never considered such a thing, then the thought might not be pleasant thinking about blowing your nose on your hanky and then putting it back in your pocket ! (I just made myself laugh ! ) ....but of course you could use it for other things, I mean, you never know when one would come in handy.
That led me to think about the time my older sister was in first grade, maybe the first day and another child started having a seizure and the staff just stood there excited AND bewildered while Dad reach for his hanky, wrapped it around a couple of his fingers and pressed the child's tongue down so they would not choke on it while someone else called an ambulance. "They" always say don't use your fingers to do that as you might lose one if someone's teeth clinched on them..... but..... I don't even know if "they" recommend handling others with seizures a whole nother way these days. Times change, more knowledge is gathered.... but back then.... that was the thought and that is what happened.
Good old hanky !
Anyway, that is where my mind went, simply reaching for a kleenex while working. Zip ZIP ! back to the past.
Since I had Monday off, now at the end of the Wednesday work day, I'm half way done for this week. Woooo Hoooo ! Gotta luv that !
