Hog raising

Agriculture is one main livelihood of the Philippines. I painted this for a contest held by a company that ensures the health of pigs with their feeds. They stopped by our school and went to the artists. As a form of advertisement for their enterprise.

The Process

The process starts with finding the subject
I asked this guy to model for me. My co-artist
Reagan.

Then I took pig pics and drew them

Aha! There they are.

Then! The farmer

Look at him go!

Our professor always said, for originality use your own reference photos or create your own.

I paint it with base tone, midtone and light tone.
As you can see, the ears are almost popping out!

Then its done

This is one of my very first paintings.
I enjoyed drawing the pigs a lot and I think its really funny that I got to draw my friend as well.
