The human form...chainsaw carved part 1

Probably one of the most difficult to carve, and definitely not my strong suit. But I wanted to share anyway, some human figures I've carved.
We'll start off with this angel.

She was the first piece I carved of an order for a Nativity scene.
Here's the next:
Virgin Mary

Here they are together, starting to look like a set..

Then came Joseph..

One of 3 wise men...

Shepherd..

Another wise man..

Wise man number 3 done and thrown in the mix at the manger.
It was set up next door, my landlord's business. The best part about this order was that both my landlord and I love to barter. I paid one years worth of rent and got a hefty credit line at the saw shop. (He owns the Stihl dealership) Bonus!!!
We can't forget the most important part of the manger scene...

This year I have to paint them all so you will see them again later this year.

I think I'll finish this post with a crucifix I carved for a separate order..
