I started this painting off very soft and smoky slightly abstract and in a similar style to the previous one I posted. Somewhere along the way I started building some structure into the smoke and it became hard and protective. It looked a bit like armour.
Or maybe tentacles, or scales on a fish! Either way I feel there is some kind of epic battle going on, or perhaps a possession of light.
I was too into this one and didn't stop to capture any process pics, silly me but it happens sometimes :D
