As we get older, practically, responsibilities, and life in general can get in the way of being creative. We are constantly stimulated and influenced by the world we live in, which can lead to a lack of imagination. We are told what to do instead of thinking for ourselves.
Today, I wanted to provide you with some tips on how you can tap into your creativity!
#1. Play, play, play!
The number one way to stimulate creativity is to play. This could be going outside and playing with your kids at your park. Personally I βplayβ with my friends when I do acroyoga. It stimulates my brain and allows me to use my creativity to make up new tricks.
#2. Get some fresh air
Nature has always been a big inspiration and influence on my artwork. Walking around outside can stimulate your brain and get the creative juices going. Try taking a sketch book outside and drawing the things around you.
#3. Be a student of life
Being a lifetime learner will always keep you curious and help you stay creative. When you constantly question things around you, life will never get boring.
#4. Write down your thoughts
Writing is such a stimulating activity. If you are not use to writing, it may feel awkward or strange. Try not to think too much and just let your thoughts flow onto the paper. Brilliant ideas often form when I start jotting down my ideas.
