Hello everyone ,
I'm back with another work of mine. Its a portrait painting of a DC character Aquaman which is acted by Jason Mamoa
Starting with the base colors the sky, water , and the body of the character was done . For both sky and water cobalt blue was used as the ligher shades. Then pursian blue and a mixture of cobalt blue and light green was applied to the sky to build up the intensity and layers . As for the water a mid tone in blue called Cerulean Blue was used and for the draker shades Pursian blue with a little touch of Black was used.For the water i used sprinkling technique to create the droplets of the water in the white shade and a mix of white and Cerulean Blue is used of the base of splashing water
For the face , I started with yellowish tone of the skin then went on adding the draker shadow tones in burnt umber and raw umber . and then for the mid tone it was a mixture of Deep green , yellow ocher and a little bit of black.
For rest of the body shades of brown , yellow ocher , and combination of deepgreen and black was used. Some final touches has been done with color pencils. Finally the highlights has been applied with white paint and color pencil
