A few days ago I was reviewing my social networks and I found something that caught my attention.
It is a contest held by the football star, "Lionel Messi" aimed at his fans. This caught my attention because the contest is based on making a drawing of the super star, it is strange to see a figure like this taking an initiative for artists.
The fact is that it is not a simple contest, it is a campaign that the star has started to collaborate with the project of the Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital.
For this reason he has started an art contest to mark the world day of Childhood Cancer
This has motivated me a lot, the fact that a soccer player organizes an art contest as a charity act charmed me, so I told my younger brother about it.
My younger brother is 13 years old, he is an incredible sportsman, lover of soccer and Fan # 1 of Messi. I like football a bit, but also another player who a few weeks ago I did a portrait of him ( Cristiano Ronaldo )
When I did this illustration, my brother got upset a bit, he is fascinated by my drawings and he was years asking me to draw him Messi, so when I saw the publication of that contest I ran to show him and I said it is the opportunity to give you the drawing of Messi you love so much He responded to me:

The soccer star will choose one of the drawings as the winner, which he will sign and give to the hospital to be auctioned and thus donate the total money to it. In addition Lionel Messi will send a signed copy of the portrait to the winner.
When my brother read about this he got excited, he said: "You can win, can you imagine ?! You will win an important art contest and you will give me the Messi autograph": D
That inspired me a lot. Seeing him excited for that gave me the total inspiration to make the drawing. I know that I did not win Messi's signature, reviewing the publications I saw that great artists were participating, I saw extraordinary works, with watercolor, digital, charcoal, with many colors and what I do best is to illustrate.
However, I do not care, I know there is a lot of talent in the world but, competing with them is something that I really like. I'm excited and seeing my brother more excited gives me joy.
I did the drawing last night, and I do not really photograph their process as I usually do, I did not really think I would publish this drawing here, then I thought and I think Steemit is part of my social networks and there are people that I admire a lot, so I wanted to share them the history and the design!.
ou can notice that it is mine since it is my signature which I use in all my works and the same instruments that I use to draw;)
