There are some works that emerge slowly from their creative kernel/process, and eventually reveal other levels of strangeness that seem to come out of nowhere. This was one of those that grew on me as I worked on it and kept tugging at my brain, saying, "there is something special here, keep sculpting!!" It is related to an earlier work titled Cone City (below), which itself is a companion image for a short story (in progress) set on Mars.

In that story, a colony on the red planet is home to a sort of technological religious order (cult?) headed by a priestess who seeks to become capable of 'interphase existence.'
Today's featured image, Dimensional Embassy, shows a compound of buildings which was created by this religious group via reflection, vibration, and other proprietary artifice & technology, and is used as a staging ground for their attempted interactions with other-dimensional entities and existences.
