Would ya look at that.
I have returned! Lol. So sorry for the gap in posts here, this week has been written off as a fail week and I'm ready to start posting regularly again. I'm trying to figure out what to focus my mind on because at this current moment depression has made it difficult for me to want to draw or even want to find the motivation to do so. Which is unfortunate because I have a convention coming up and people waiting on commissions. It's been a roller coaster of ups and downs for me over this past year but I'm trying to get myself together. I'm still feeling rather uncertain about a lot of things and that has made it quite chaotic in my brain but I'm hoping that I get some sort of reassurance from the Universe here that everything is going to be alright. XD Until then all I can do is work on feeling okay again in whatever way I can.
But next week I am going to kick my own ass and get to work on whatever I have to do. And I'm also pretty excited because I am going to start to paint. Real, live oil paintings on canvas. So whenever I decide to get cracking on that first one I will be happy to show you what I come up with. It won't be amazing or anything because when it comes to real paints I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. But it'll be a learning experience and I'm quite excited to focus my energy and runaway thoughts on that. It'll be my own personal therapy because I lack the funds to go to a real therapist. Lol!
Now.. Onto art. I had to sift through my collection of drawings I've done over the past few years and I decided to show you all just one tonight. Since it's late and I'm at work and I can't decide on a definite theme.
So I will give you the most underrated Disney lady of all time.
Megara from Hercules.
She happens to my favourite Disney female in my favourite Disney movie. Even though the mythology aspect isn't quite correct and the real story should never be made into a children's movie.. it's still an amazing film! The music and the characters and the unique animation and of course James Woods is the villain! It's incredible! Totally underrated movie that people need to talk about more. I like Meg cause she's sassy and sarcastic. So I drew my own version of her and I really liked how she turned out. :)
Anyone else out there agree with me? :D Let me know what you think!
Until next time.
