I did this painting about 2 months ago, in the middle of a wood, while I (as always) was missing the sea. And a month later, in Sardinia, I miss the mountains. So I'm prepared to start painting chestnut, fir and beech trees at any moment. Melancholy is like this, it lulls you in the sweet sadness of memories. It doesn't make any sense and I don't like being melancholy anymore, but as much as I try to contrast this trend, it always comes back.
