Here is some of my best finds from Barcelona.
I started collecting sea glass when I lived on a sailboat. It was a really small space, so everything had to have a purpose. The hunting of glass I find really relaxing and even exciting at times. When you have been hunting for awhile when you find a new color its a big deal. I found a bright pink in Barcelona, I was so excited.
So I had to find something to do with it so I could justify my morning beach combing. I found a technique to bead round cabochons, but it took me a year to be able to bead an uneven peace of glass. Even now beads break and I get frustrated, but I have a unique art that is just mine, and I am secretly proud of it. I decide to bring some to steemfest, to gift, barter or steem. I wanted to show then to you on this post so you can see a side of me I haven't shown.
So here is the pieces I brought.
His it the top of a bottle that must have been in a fire before it was tumbled. I love the fire glass. Its like Salvador Dali glass.
Cobalt, so pretty. I love finding it because it stands out so much.
This is a great dusty rose with ray's. It is from the art deco period.
This one is not glass but a shell, I could believe how huge this one is. They are usually smaller than a dime. This one was a grandfather shell. I love the bumps on it, it is a foot of a shell.
This is the one I have been wearing, it is made out of a piece of gray glass with bubbles locked in in.
