Lately has been a bit of a pattern-making spree, playing catch up for the beginning of the year. When I make patterns, I try to make both a knit and a crochet version of the same pattern. Many of my patterns play with shape and three-dimensional elements, which is what I try to bring into both patterns.
During December, I was working on a knit and crochet version of a loopy cowl. I still haven't gotten the knit version worked out yet. I don't want plain yarn loops. I want stitched loops, but I have to find the balance of what is too tedious for the knitter and what matches the design. So I'll have to start tweaking it; sooner than later if I don't want it to fall to the bottom of my work pile!
In the mean time, I did go ahead and get the crochet version listed, so there's that.
The pattern is available for sale in the Ravelry Store.
