Happy Monday Morning Steemers!
This is an original piece I created called Marshmallow Sunrise. Drawn on Krita with my Wacom Intuos Art 4 graphics tablet.
Below is my process from terrible rough lines to finished piece.
Just some rough lines of my idea,
Next some basic colour,
Now I remove my lines and start on the sun,
Using a few brushes that Krita has to offer and some blues, whites and oranges I started to form clouds,
I continued the cloud effect and then added some light rays on the sun,
Next I trimmed the cliff edge and started to add grass,
After a while of playing around with different shades and colours for the grass I ended up with this,
Onto the cliff face, I added some very rough detail lines to assist me in the finer detail,
Again after a while of plying around with shapes, lines, colours and sharpening, I added definition to the cliff face,
Next I get to work on the water, gradually adding detail over a few layers and then touching it up with the suns reflection,
After I finished the water I moved onto the tree. Using a customised rake brush in Krita, I went about giving the tree some texture and then added definition,
I then added more grass over the base of the tree to make it fit better,
For the tree top I used a customised pattern brush in Krita, with lots of shades of pink and red to create a leaf effect,
Now I add the shadow for the tree and then the lighting on the grass,
And for the last step, I duplicated my tree top layer, then moved and rotated it before erasing with the same brush I used to make the texture to form a wave of loose leaves,
So there is my process! what do you think?
Have a brilliant start to the week! and I hope this can brighten those Monday blues!
