Hey Steemit,
I will be posting a song that I also love each day and has something unique in my opinion, under the "Get Some Jazz Steemit" title.
Today we go with the first post, and to celebrate, we have Miles.
"Walkin" is one of the uptempo songs that were recorded in Miles Davis live album Four & More.
Funny thing about this album is that most of it (if all) is played as a furious uptempo swing, with the stellar Miles Davis quintet which has been considered the best quintet of Jazz history by many.
Another funny thing I was told some time ago is that all members were angry between them, they basically hated each other and mostly Miles, and despite of that, it's one of the most memorable jazz records ever recorded live.
One for the drummers out there, Tony Williams was about 18 years old when he played on this album, and drums as far as I know were recorded with one overhead mic only. Unbelievable.
That's all for today, please up-vote and follow me for more posts!
Let me know if you enjoyed it!!
