This time i want to share with you an old drawing and how this idea came about, it's one of my favorites. It's a hybrid between an owl and a cat. This is the extended version of the Original Post
Esta vez quiero compartirles un viejo dibujo y cómo surgió esta idea, es uno de mis favoritos.

How did this idea come about? / ¿Cómo surgió esta idea?
I have always loved owls, in fact it is my spiritual animal and i find it interesting that cats have a look, an expression very similar to these amazing birds. While i was doing the sketch, i noticed that it looked like a cat, a friend of mine proposed me the idea of merging them and i loved it, it was a very funny project.
Siempre me han encantado los búhos, de hecho es mi animal espiritual y me resulta interesante que los gatos tienen una mirada, una expresión muy similar a estas aves tan sorprendentes. Mientras hacía el boceto, noté que parecía un gato, una amiga mía me propuso la idea de fusionarlos y me encantó, fue un proyecto muy divertido.

I had planned to make a drawing with simple lines, playing with them to achieve different visual textures, i wanted it to be only a black and white drawing, like the tattoo templates or the coloring pages. Personally, i love grayscale drawings, so i always felt comfortable with this style. I found it interesting to create my hybrid owl on a circular base, i used a 2h drawing pencil and a black pen. For the background I used a black marker.
Tenia planeado hacer un dibujo con líneas simples, jugar con ellas para lograr diferentes texturas visuales, pretendía que solo fuese un dibujo en blanco y negro, como las plantillas de tatuajes o las páginas para colorear. Personalmente soy amante de los dibujos en escala de grises, así que siempre me sentí cómoda con este estilo. Me pareció interesante crear mi búho hibrido sobre una base circular, utilicé un lapiz de dibujo 2h y un bolígrafo negro. Para el fondo utilicé un marcador negro.

As i progressed in my drawing, i changed my mind and decided to add color. I just wanted something subtle, a little yellow on the wings and where my obsessive-compulsive eye would be comfortable. At this stage i used a yellow marker and colored pencil as a base to add other details and nuances.
A medida que avanzaba en mi dibujo, cambié de opinión y decidí agregar color. Solo quería algo sutil, un poco de amarillo en las alas y donde mi ojo obsesivo compulsivo se sintiera cómodo. En esta etapa utilicé como base un marcador amarillo y lápiz de color para agregar otros detalles y matices.
I kept adding more color and as always, it gave me the corresponding attack. Before, i didn't use to draw in color, i was afraid of them. My style has evolved over time, now i almost always use color, one of the reasons is that it helps me finish them faster, but during the process it often happens that i get blocked and start to hate the drawing when i have added color. Then, as the days go by, it passes, but it's very funny and frustrating at the same time. Maybe, it's because I'm very sensitive to color, when i see very intense colors my eyes don't tolerate it very well.
Seguí agregando más color y como siempre, me dió el ataque correspondiente. Antes, no solía dibujar a color, les tenía pánico. Mi estilo ha evolucionado con el tiempo, ahora casi siempre uso color, una de las razones es que me ayuda a terminarlos más rápido, pero durante el proceso me ocurre con frecuencia que me bloqueo y comienzo a detestar el dibujo cuando he agregado el color. Luego, con los días se me pasa, pero es muy gracioso y frustrante al mismo tiempo. Tal vez, se debe a que soy muy sensible al color, cuando veo colores muy intensos mis ojos no lo toleran muy bien.
I added little details in the feathers, used only little soft colored lines, i didn't want anything too intense. I wanted to predominate pointillism . With white paint i kept adding more dots on the background, i love to create textures. One of my favorite details is the texture i achieved on the tree trunk using a light green marker as a base, colored pencils for other details and a black pen for the line game.
Agregué pequeños detalles en las plumas, utilicé solo pequeñas líneas colores pasteles, no quería nada demasiado intenso. Quería que predominaran los detalles en puntillismo. Con pintura blanca seguí agregando más puntos sobre el fondo, me encanta crear texturas.
Uno de mis detalles favoritos es la textura que logré en el tronco del árbol utilizando un marcador verde claro de base, lápices de color para otros detalles y bolígrafo negro para el juego de líneas.
Why is this owl so hybrid? / ¿Por qué este búho es tan híbrido?
Perhaps, because she is of the sign of Gemini, she changes form constantly, she is calm and restless at the same time, she likes to govern the four winds but he also wants to be a ruler of the earth, she is passionate about watching the dark alleys and being an astral messenger is her ultra-secret charm. The moon is her protective goddess, under her blessing and energy she can make you doubt her strange appearance : "To be or not to be, that is the question. "
Tal vez porque es del signo de géminis, cambia de forma constantemente, es tranquila e inquieta al mismo tiempo, le gusta gobernar los cuatro vientos pero también quiere ser gobernante de la tierra, vigilar los callejones oscuros le apasiona y ser mensajera astral es su encanto ultrasecreto. La luna, es su diosa protectora, bajo su bendición y energía puede hacerte dudar de su extraña apariencia : "Ser o no ser, esa es la pregunta."

Now that I'm detailing the drawing again,
- Do you notice that at each stage her gaze changes a bit?*
Sometimes it looks tender, sometimes it looks threatening. - Do you notice that because of its peculiar shape it looks like a strange kind of cabbage?*
My drawings always turn into things I hadn't planned.
Maybe you'll see other things, who knows.
Ahora que vuelvo a detallar el dibujo,
¿Notan que en cada etapa su mirada cambia un poco?*
A veces luce tierno otras amenazante.
¿Notan que debido a su peculiar forma parece una extraña especie de repollo?*
Jajajaja mis dibujos siempre se transforman en cosas que no había planeado.
