I created this piece as a visual rather than verbal ode to a dear friend of mine's aunt, following her passing. She was a dear person. Super loving, as well as supportive and encouraging of my artwork. She always just jollied me up with love.
I created this piece as a respect to her, honoring her, and celebrating her life.
Creating it provided me a beautiful outlet to process, and allowed me to acknowledge her and connect with the reality of her transition. It provided me with a creative space to step outside of time and the linear, and to connect with her essence outside of her physical form.
Metaphysical phenomenas transcend words at times. :) Well, often they do!
And in this instance here is a visual to accompany that transcendence, which provides some translation and embodiment of the aforementioned ineffable state/experience. :)
