I drew these sketches when I was in high school, many years ago. My heart wasn't in class, my passion was art.

The featured sketch caused an uproar in my high school. It is a sketch of 3 of the meanest teachers in the entire school.

The sketch itself was not a big deal in my mind. I captured the 3 of them on paper pretty well.

What I didn't realize is that one of my classmates was making copies of my sketch in Print Shop with empty dialog boxes added, where anybody could insert dialog as if the 3 teachers were speaking to each other.

One day, my English teacher told me he got a call from the assistant principal (disciplinarian!) to say that he wanted me to come to his office immediately. I asked why and he said it was something to do with my sketches.

Cool! I thought I was going to get an award or some kind of recognition for my artwork! I ran down to his office in a hurry.

When I got there, my mother and father were there also. Wow! I thought this must be a big award ceremony!

I sat down with them and the vice principal had a big stack of my sketches on his desk, with some of the most vile comments that you could ever imagine! They were plastered all over the school! Yikes! I was in deep doo doo!

I won't get specific, for the sake of younger or more sensitive viewers, but the comments were about feminine hygene, bestiality, fornication, etc, etc! I think the one that really got to the asst. principal is where the 3 teachers were talking about the size of his manhood!

HE WAS PISSED!

I had to do some serious talking to keep from being expelled!

After things calmed down a little, the asst. principal suggested that I transfer to an art school. That would have suited me just fine, but we couldn't afford the tuition.

So, I got suspended for 3 days, and had to promise to not draw anymore sketches while in school.

Phew! That was a close call!

My mom saved a stack of them and gave them to me a few years ago! I'm glad she saved them. 😲

I'm sorry for the condition of the drawings, but they are very old.
