Colosseum, which is an amphitheatre, is located in Rome, Italy. Built in 72 AD, this amphitheatre could hold more than 70,000 spectators. Initially, it was used for entertainment purposes, such as drama, contests, but later it was also used for other purposes such as religious ceremonies, gatherings etc. It is partially damaged because of the earthquakes, but it is still one of the famous monuments of Italy, and attracts tourists from all around the world.
