You've been #blinddrawn ! Hope you like it.
The surprise of creating works based on other Steemians' works is really a fun task. I love to see how people respond, if they do respond. I always wonder if people are offended from how I draw them, but hope they can see it as an artistic interpretation rather than me trying to hurt them in some way!
Painting
This was an interesting one for me. I had a lot of trouble with the hair. It is so clear in the photo, but the painting side of it wasn't easy for me. I decided to make it more artsy and have it fade between three different layers of black and dark dark brown. This was satisfying to me. I think that the drawing of his outline went really well, and it's really cool looking back and the process video to see my own workflow since I don't always know what's happening at the exact moment.
I took the red sweater as a great opportunity to have a strong pop of color.
Original Photo
created a wonderful photo. I love the lighting, sweater color. I love how it just shows the pure being, rather than trying to glorify and alter too much. It looks like
is just getting started on Steemit, so I hope everyone can jump over and give them an up vote / follow to welcome them to the community. We want to promote collaborations, warm welcomes, and original content. They have started off on the right foot!
Process Video
Thanks to for the Musical SBD/Steem reports! I took the track from week 5 at 180% speed over this! Also, This video is sped up 4000%. 40x the speed of actually painting it! At least it shows every single brush stroke, and pen line! Hope you enjoy!
Who am I?
I am an artist who finds portrait photographs of people on social media, paints them, and posts it. I love the reactions and surprises that it gives people. I think there's a sense of self-esteem boost when someone is painted (even when there are mistakes or it doesn't look identical to them). The goal of my art is to surprise and spread love.
