You've been #blinddrawn.
Hi all!
I haven't posted a while as lots of projects have swept me MIA. I will hopefully begin to trickle more art participation here as we get deeper into the projects.
This piece means a lot to me because I was in a phase of being uncomfortable with how people will react to themselves being painted by a stranger. It wasn't a commission or anything. I just wanted to paint her photo because I felt like it had a lot of style and meaning. Though, perhaps I took away some of that meaning with the art style.
This is a post about one of the original styles of before I started developing a more fine lined sketch style. I wanted to give these bright pops of color to stand out and also be simple. I loved the metallic colors as well and found a gold acrylic to start messing with.
How I used to scan images:
I am an artist who finds portrait photographs of people on social media, paints them, and posts it. I love the reactions and surprises that it gives people. I think there's a sense of self-esteem boost when someone is painted (even when there are mistakes or it doesn't look identical to them). The goal of my art is to surprise and spread love.
