You've been #blinddrawn ! I like to paint photos or portraits of people that they don't expect. The beauty of art in combination with the element of surprise can really get a rise out of people's emotions.
Painting
Sometimes I like to study how shapes represent objects. Obviously, I didn't go into tons of detail on the doors. The greenish rectangles could really be anything if you didn't know what it was in reference to. It could be little cypress trees or something. The point of abstraction is to allow an element of unknown to let the imagination take over. It can seem like a forceful way of teaching imagination, but I think it opens the art experience to being more thoughtful again.
I particularly like in this piece how the red blends into the green. It has a rustic feeling and that sits really beautifully as a whole.
Original Photo
The color and form in this photo by is really nice. I love the soft light, and the pose of the model. Her arms have a strong structure that feels very geometric. I also think the form and perspective of the building is really interesting. Brilliant job
.
Animated Gif
To create this animated gif, I brought the original photo in, centered it, and then brought the painting in and centered it (by resizing). Then I created two frames, and blended it together within the timeline of Photoshop.

Here's a short glimpse of the process of how this painting was created.
