My son saw me packaging up a picture the other day and asked what I was doing with it. I explained to him that someone had bought it and I was sending the original image to it's new home. His eyes lit up. "So people buy your drawings?" He said with amazement and surprise. It was a fair assessment because he knew me as dad the healthcare worker and not dad the artist.
He asked me what someone paid for it and after I gave him the number from which he quickly converted into the number of xbox games he could purchase. Astonished, he said "I know what to do. I am going to draw a picture and I want you to re-draw my picture the with the way you like to draw. Then, if I can sell it for 1 million dollars, I will give you some of that money!"
"Shouldn't I get all the money because I did the art?" I asked. "No, because I had to tell you what to do", he responded.
"Deal" I hastily exclaimed so I could seal this very unrealistic offer.
Now I have his million dollar picture which I cherish.
