Started working on this 3D model tonight. It's not the prettiest but I had tons of fun exploring a new painting workflow. As you can see the texture painting looks sketchy, has a crayon look & feel to it. I tried to bring a bit of old-school coloring and sketching into this 3D model. Sketching and coloring the shapes and patterns on the model by hand (with a Wacom Intuos Art graphic tablet) reintroduced the joy I used to experience as a kid when I made sufficient time to just sit down and draw and color-in my artwork for hours. It was truly a delightful experience doing this tonight.
