What is life like in a painting? Can the objects in a painting live? Hemmmm can be yes and neither. If you believe there is a story in a painting, you may be interested to watch the animated film The Painting (Le Tableau) made by the French animation studio
Once in a painting made by an aging artist, there are groups of moving objects like humans. Unfortunately there is discrimination between the groups due to differences in appearance.
There are still objects that are not yet finished (halfies) and there are also objects in the form of sketches (reufs). Both objects are removed by groups that call themselves perfect. The perfect groups live in the castle, while the other two groups live in vast gardens.
Among them is Lola from a neglected group. Her friend Claire is in love with Alldun's group Rome. Despite his imperfect appearance, Rome likes Claire and hopes his class does not degrade Claire's group.
Until one day a sketch was seen in the castle and the inhabitants of the castle attacked him without moving. Conflict of class opposition becomes heated up. Rome, Lola, and a sketch decided to look for the painter to finish his work.
They entered the forbidden forest and then entered another painting. The adventure of looking for the painter was not easy, until one day they found an idea that then changed everything.
I love the idea of this movie. Really rich in imagination. Maybe a bit absurd but the story I think is really interesting, like a short story that protests at the author, or a doll who is upset because it is not resolved.
Scars animation beautiful and have colors that match the story told. For those who love fantasy stories, then this story will be evocative. There are class contrasts, romantic tales of Romeo and Juliet, as well as a sweet cover story.
