An eye for collaboration

I'm excited to be sharing with you my most recent collaboration with Daniel Eugene Botha -Hive account@debart, an amazing artist here on Steemit. We have already created two pieces of collaborative art together, this will be our third. For this collaboration I sent Hive account@debart my image 'The Watching Eye'.

Continuing the collaboration...

Hive account@debart sent the new image back to me, and I started to add a few more layers. I wanted to develop the story in the work, the original post for 'The Watching Eye' -We lost control... had the following text:

Combining artificial intelligence, surveillance technology and bionanotechnology seemed like a good idea at the time.
Then we lost control of the system
Within a matter of days the system gained control of us
Now there is nowhere to hide.

For this development of the piece I wanted to add to that story. Who would save us from this surveillance invasion? Would mankind save itself, or would help come from a different source? The title of the new piece 'Invasion' can be read in multiple ways, it could refer to the red figures of the alien species swarming across the landscape, or to the man-made invasive eyes they are fighting against. Which do you think?
