A change of scenery
A little bit of whimsy for you today with these walking flowers. They have grown tired of their surroundings, so have dug up their roots and gone for a walk. They fancied a change of scenery!
The initial stages of this drawing involved using a dip pen and drawing ink to draw the outline of the main flower and its legs. I then used an alcohol based marker pen to add yellow to the flower petals.
The next stage was to paint the colour on the legs and background. I then used watercolour pencils and watercolours to add the smaller flowers that are walking in the background.
The final stage was to add the details in the center of the flower heads and the shadows under the flowers feet.
