It's monday again!
Here I go posting to start the day. I've been goofing off a bit and need to hop on some worky stuff immediately. A project draft is due tomorrow and I haven't even started yet! However, it was more or less worth it :)A bit about this guy — without going into too much detail, this is a Godzilla parody, but he cries and whines a lot. The goal is pathetic drama with a comedic angle...
Almost all the time, I over-complicate things, but this guy has a really basic look, so I'm pretty happy about the outcome. Seems like the simpler animations are more fun to create for me... and a lot of the most popular animations out there are quite simple.
Looking forward to the voice over
When I voice this character, I'll be acting out in hysterical anguish. What's not funny about an over-grown, extremely emotional, city-destroying lizard? :)
UPDATE
Seems I have an uptick in work... The client I spoke with over holiday break FINALLY got back to me on wednesday. There was a lesson to be learned. My mind was playing tricks on me as I waited for weeks and weeks to hear back. I thought the worst of the situation and became frustrated and disappointed.Turns out that the client had 1) a bad cold, then 2) influenza and finally 3) broke their hand recently... Of course they could have updated me at any point, but with a family and busy job, it's more understandable. I stand corrected and realize what seemed like another big flop was actually a test in patience. The work will be starting this week. Six weeks later than I needed it, but better late than never.
Additionally, there are 3 other projects that I'm bidding on — hoping for the best!
