In the Swedish city of växjö has installed an unusual monument called "the lady with the bag", which had already become a local landmark. Sculptor Suzanne Arvin immortalized a local resident Danuta Danielsson, who expressed her civic position in the form of hitting a lady's bag on the shaved head of a young man from a Pro-fascist organization.
The statue was based on a photograph from a local newspaper. On April 13, 1985, a column of the Northern Imperial party, a far — right party supporting the ideas of Nazi Germany, marched down the main street of the city. Most people ignored the neo-Nazis or tried to get away with it. Danuta Danielsson (pictured) did otherwise. She boldly rushed to the attack and beat the bag shaven-headed young man.
After her and the rest of the residents of vekshe attacked the neo-Nazis-they drove them from the main square towards the station, and the demonstrators had to lock themselves in the toilet and wait for the police to appear. A local photographer took the picture and sent it to the newspaper.
Thanks to this photo, a statue appeared, which became a symbol of the struggle against neo-Nazism and civic courage.
