I drew this a while back. It was the first Maschinen Krieger ZbV 3000 model that I drew. What I love the most about Mr. Kow Yokoyama models are there organic shapes. At the time he was creating these models there was nothing really like them on the market here in the US. There was Macross and Gundam, but these models seemed so rigged and stiff compared to the Maschinen Krieger models. He only created short stories that where published in the Hobby Japan magazine. To my knowledge he never created any manga or anime. His stories where always told with the models he created. They where like reading a story from a great puppet master even though they where in Japanese. I grew to love them over the years even if I couldn't read them at the age of 10. Now that I'm older I really have begun to apprentice his contribution to the giant robot genre. Mr. Kow Yokoyama I hope all is well and I just want to thank you for inspiring kids all over the world.
