Hello my dear friends, followers and guests of my blog!
Today in the series "Summer moments" I draw a bouquet of roses.
Roses are not in vain considered queen flowers. In my opinion this is the most complex flower for drawing. The rose has an interesting shape and a lot of petals. Each petal has its own shape, its bend and its distortion in perspective.
It is important not to overdo it with petals, otherwise peonies will turn out. Or vice versa, the undersized petals will make a rose hip flower from the rose.
I decided to draw roses in the traditional techniques of folk crafts. Here's what I got:
I continue the series of works with colored pencils on kraft paper.
This is a very rich in shades of style, the background of the craft gives the whole picture depth and gives details more importance.
As always, everything starts with a pencil drawing:
Next I define the light parts of the colors. I work in traditional techniques of folk crafts, so flowers should be voluminous in form.
Having determined the light parts, I move on to working in the shadows.
I add the leaves to the environment of flowers.
It is important to draw the whole picture, not resting on the details on any one part.
Now, having the composition of the whole picture, you can refine the details and put the accents where I want to attract the viewer's view.
And my drawing is ready!
I hope you like it!
