The Question is - basically unrelated to the painting I decided to share again today. It's about my need for self-improvement and innovation. I'm trying to get a market understanding of the many reasons to be attracted to art, and which kind of art fulfills your needs.
So:
- Do you have a favourite artist (or artists) in painting or drawing?
- Please tell me, to the best of your ability, what you love about their work over that of other artists?
- And please, can you add a link to some of their work for me to see?
I would be so grateful to hear from you! I've asked my friends on facebook, and I think they feel I'm fishing for them to say that I am their favourite artist, because I've gotten only about 5 or 6 answers. I'm absolutely not fishing, as this is my very own R&D work.
The piece above, since it's here, many of you who've been following have seen already. It's called 'An Apple a Day'. 36x36" Acrylic on canvas. It's about religious symbology, secular symbology, and health misconceptions. It came to my mind following the topic of industry standards, so I chose it as my visual.
