Being in the art gallery business and knowing that you will soon be closing your doors on your physical location creates some interesting — and challenging — dynamics.
In the case of the Red Dragonfly, our physical location will cease to exist on June 30th, but the name, the blog and a smaller online gallery store will continue.

"Closing" vs. "Going Out of Business"
Most people don't readily understand that there is a difference between simply closing a store and actually going out of business.
And that's one of the challenges we are facing, at this time.
Another challenge is that the artists seeking to have a presence in a physical gallery space are often not the same who are happy to be represented and marketed by someone (besides themselves, through their web site) through an online space.
Naturally, this is a matter of individual preferences... and not an issue we are going to push on anyone.
