Chrysocolla & Copper Pendant
Here's a pendant i just finished this evening, it took me a couple of evenings from sketching out an idea to finishing it.
I've been working on quite complex pieces recently so i fancied doing something a little less intense. I've been meaning to do something with this shape/design as it hangs very well.
The deep greens of the Chrysocolla cabochon works really well with the copper.
One thing i had to work out near finishing this piece was how to mount it on a cord. The obvious point, through the swirl at the top ruins the aesthetic of it so i tried a jump ring through the same point, this didnt work either. In the end I created a hidden bail at the top behind the visible design so as not to distract the eye too much. I'm happy with how it turned out.
If you're interested in purchasing any of my designs i have some for sale here: https://steemit.com/art/@robali123/jewelry-pieces-for-sale
