Hello, its been a few days since i last posted as things have been pretty busy.
I wanted to share this piece with you. It was very special to me as it was the first piece of jewellery i made that i was truely happy with. Up until this point my work was more messing around than anything i deemed good enough to sell.
It was also the start of, what i think, is my wire wrapping style.
It contains a piece of quartz, some upcycled Jade beads, and a bigger chunk of Jade too
You can tell i had a lot to learn as the the large piece of Jade is largely covered up with wire!!
Now due to it being my first 'successful' piece of work i decided id keep it for myself as it had too much sentimental value. Then the saddest thing thing happened. One evening as i got home from a particularly heavy night of drinking and dancing, i realised the cord it was on had snapped and it was gone! I had no clue where id lost it and the chances of finding it were so slim i had to accept it was no more.
I'd like to hope that someone else found it and has kept it for themselves so at least it is getting some love still. Since loosing it i tried making a similar piece to replace it several times but none of them were quite the same.
Heres my attempt at making a replacement, its nice but not quite the same.
