It's been awhile! With a third child on the way and intense morning sickness (a.k.a ALL DAY SICKNESS) for months it has been difficult to get into the shop and work on my art. I am not normally one to live off an excuse but when you are growing a human in your belly it is important to re-evaluate where your priorities lie.
Wood working has its risks. Power tools should never be taken for granted and when you are pregnant, tired and sick you aren't on your best game. I have been working slowly at a pace that works well for me and belly. We have made progress in small strides. The most important thing is I did not give up. Knowing your boundaries and respecting your health and the health of others is most important.
My baby is due to arrive in about a month and I know that my choice to slow down and rest during the past 8 months has been important for the baby's development and growth. I look forward to getting back into the shop on a more frequent basis but more importantly, I look forward to meeting this little one and nurturing them for a life time.
