ABCD - Anybody Can Draw - Part 1 - Realistic Eye using Pencil

Welcome to my drawing series - ABCD of Drawing! Part 1

Drawing a realistic eye seems to be challenging for some. However, with simple technique and little practice anybody can draw a realistic looking eye in just five minutes. Here is the step by step process of drawing a realistic Eye.

Step 1 - Draw one simple arc as shown

Step 2 - Draw another arc below to get an almond shape 

Step 3 - Draw one more curve on the top left side

Step 4 - Draw one more curve slightly above the bottom arc on the left

Step 5 - Erase the unwanted portion using kneader or eraser

Step 6 - Draw a circle which slightly crosses the top curve to create Iris and at the left side corner slightly make it rounded to create the shape of tear duct

Step 7 - erase the top part of circle and draw the eyelid outline. Then draw a small circle (almost 1/3 of the Iris diameter) to create pupil

Step 8 - Make the Pupil darker and put darker grey shade around Iris

Step 9 - Put light shade for the Iris to give it a slightly glossy look

Step 10 - Create the outline for Eyebrow and put light grey tone for the eye lids 

Step 11 - Fine tune the Eye lashes, Eyebrow and Iris to make it more realistic.
