Dear friends and followers,
while I'm still having lots of fun doing some digital drawings at dada.nyc, I just recently stumbled upon a new Humble bundle called the BOB ROSS BUNDLE.
While you get some episodes of the famous PBS show "The Joy of Painting" and some funny drawing games, when you "pay what you want", you will get Corel Painter Essentials 6 and some more stuff, when you pay at least $15.
Although I'm quite happy with the opensource digital drawing software Krita, I'm always curious about testing out new things. So here are the first digital artworks, I created with Corel Painter:
I especially like the wet oil brush and the SmartStroke™ brush, which lets Painter quickly convert any photo into a painting of a given style.
Also the performance on my MacBook Pro is quite good.
Furthermore there are quite a few tutorial videos at youtube, that help you getting started, some interesting artist interviews and an discounted upgrade price for the professional Painter 2018.
Disclaimer
I'm neither affiliated with the Humble Bundle, nor Corel Painter. I just thought, it might be some interesting information for other digital artists.
Thanks for watching!
