Before to meet my husband I never thought I could live a life like this, a life where art is the main character of our works and our life too! For many years I spent my life working at office all the day and after the work, home alone or with my daughter (when she was free from her friends ^_^), sometimes I met my collegues for a dinner of to drink something in the local pubs, but sure, for the most of the time I was an employed who worked between many sheets of paper and burocracy. Art was a bit out of my life.
Sure, I live in a area where everyone of us breathes art (especially ancient art) even if he/she is not so much interested in art and since I was a child I visited different museums in Florence or in other Italian cities and I also visited The Guggheneim Museum in Bilbao (Spain), but at that time I didn't start to paint or to sculpt and so I enjoyed those museum trips less than I could do now.
I'm talking about this because I want to explain why I'm so happy to live in a house where art (different kinds of arts) is the main character. I feel that now my life is complete. Complete and right. Even if I started this "adventure" (an adventure that became a way to live) a bit later, when I was 42 years old, now I'm feeling really myself!
In our home, every moment can be the right moment to paint (or to sculpt) something new and so today, after the dinner, I took my brushes and my oil colors and I gave some coats on a sheet of paper to give life to a little one with a a red dress ^_^
This little one in this pose was in my mind all the day and so I decided to paint her and add her in a page of my short comic about the painter Angelika Kauffman.
While I was painting in my corner in the kitchen (I have a little "special" work corner in the kitchen that I use for oil painting on paper and other little artworks), my hubby was in relax on the sofa with our cat that finally decided to go out from the bedroom ^_^
As you can see, the two males of the Beneforti's family were really quiet and in harmony watching the tv.
Well, it's time to sleep for me, good night to everyone and see ya tomorrow!
