It's time for another "following the red" post and today, thanks this kind of funny exercise, I discovered a new piece of street art in my city!
It's a new painting of Exit/Enter, a street artist who lives in Florence (I think, but I'm not sure):
This morning I was walking along a street in the center of my city (Pistoia, Italy) when I watched this awesome character with a red balloon and so I took a couple of pics of it!
You have to know the street artist who painted it was the main character of a local event some months ago, in collaboration with the municipality and there are some similar pieces of art in different corner of the city. In the last 2 years our municipality (in collaboration with local associations of art and culture) organized some street art events to give a new life (using just water based colors that can be easely deleted or on specific walls) to some corners. Sure, nobody can do similar things on the old buildings or on the ancient walls (or on a new building, just to know ^_^), because there is a big difference between art and vandalism! These events are like a sort of gallery to decor the abandoned corners or the metal cover of the tubes and the municipality organize also a touristic tour to discover them ^_^
Well, time to come back to work for another couple of hours!
