While I'm painting some of my oil paintings on paper in different size (animals, Ladies and Gentlemen too), I'm also working on my new artwork inspired by a photo of Diane Arbus. You can read more about this piece and the original photo that inspired my work here, but now I want to show you another part of the work in progress.
During this second step, after I made the first campiture (this italian word means "areas of a monochromatic background "), I decided to focus my attention on the face, the most interesting part of the original photo.
As you can see the nose catch the attention, but I need to work on it in the better way I can because I don't want to paint a caricature.
The mouth is a big mouth and even if the original pic is in B/W, it's clear there is a strong make up on the face.
This is a detail of the face at now:
It will be a long work, so stay tuned to see the final result ^_^
See ya soon
