Rafael Arenillo Cusi, also known as Popoy in the art Community, is the county’s premier watercolorist. He has excelled in variety of subjects: from semi abstract scenery to cockfights, a baskets of fruits to nameless naked women. He is well known for his coral reefs.

Popoy was born on October 24, 1950, in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro son of Lucas Cusi, and Josefa Arenillo.
Popoy was a friend to my mother. He and my mom would often organize some art events and exhibition. Popoy is also one the main influence in my art.
