In Japan, suiseki is an art of appreciation for natural stones that depict aspects of stability, longevity and immortality. Aesthetically the shape and texture of suiseki stones can resemble mountains, lakes, waterfalls and landscapes.
Suiseki art has been widely known in various countries since long. In our country of Aceh there are many rivers of heavy currents that store the charm of natural stone suiseki in various shapes and sizes.
I visited a friend's house in takengon district of Central Aceh one year ago. His name is Darwin. The descendants of ambon born in Aceh have long collected suiseki stones from rivers in Central Aceh regency. Here is a photo collection of suiseki stone at his home
