A powerful connection
This is an artwork I did some time ago to depict the relationship that exists between a mother and child. Mothers, after a baby is born are usually the first caregiver of the child and are primarily responsible for their child's social, emotional, cognitive growth and development. This is because mothers are known to bond with their child within the first few hours of birth, a process which takes place when the mother and child are brought together. Mothers hold their child close and often breastfeed them thereby keeping the two in contact and strengthening the bond within the first beautiful hours of the child's life.
As the child grows and explores life, he will gradually begin to understand how important his/her mother is, as her essence continues to become more evident with her love radiating always which results in him/her trusting her more and developing a sense of safety whenever he is around her.
According to theorist John Bowlby "this affectional tie will become the template of all relationships that the child goes on to form throughout his/her life". All these makes it clearly obvious that the importance of a mother in a child's life especially in the first few years cannot be overemphasized.
This can be affirmed by phrases such as aJewish adage which says "God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers." Another one is an Arabic proverb which also says"The mother is a school, if she is well reared, you are sure to build a nation"
All these goes on to tell us how important a mother is in a child's life, therefore we should appreciate them, respect them, care for them, nothing good you do for them could be classified excessive. When last did you surprise your mother?...when last did you tell her how much you love her?
Show her more love before it's too late, she deserves more, treat her exactly like a god that she is and always make her feel elated so she would say a prayer for you.
That way you are guaranteed of a blissful and fulfilled life :)
Put a smile on your mother's face today!
Always remember, the world is yours, stay inspired!...Thanks for dropping by :)
