One of my artist friends texted and asked if she and a friend of hers could come out to my house and do some nature art journaling with me. Well, of course! Three of my favorite things...art, nature and friends.
It was a beautiful sunny fall day and they arrived bearing a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas. I knew what I was going to draw. We didn’t venture off of the deck to find interesting specimens to do a serious study. Here was a riot of amazing color right in front of us.
We plan to do it on a regular basis. Maybe we will venture out and hike into the forest to find and catalog plants or fungi. With chilly weather I can see us bringing the nature inside to paint with a hot cup of tea.
I wish all of my Steemit art friends could come and hang out too!
