I love chalk art and the weather was agreeable yesterday evening so I finally was able to get to it.
It took me a few days of searching to find the right subject matter. I really like art nouveau and was looking in that genre for something that would look good on the driveway when I got sidetracked by stained glass art.
That eventually landed me on a stained glass suncatcher someone was selling on Etsy I think. It also had a cool green & blue background but I ran out of black and the sun was going down so this is the final piece.
The color scheme is nice though, kind of like sunset colors.
I didn't take many process photos with my hands all covered in chalk but here is one.
In the past I've done the grid but today I just used a measuring tape to frame it and determine the size of the head relative to the border and then just freehanded it.
I think it measures in at about 5 feet tall and it sure adds some nice color to the gray concrete with the gray rock border and a gray house :D
Greg ain't worried 'bout a thing xD
