Nightlights x Wave Hill
The historic Wave Hill gardens, villas and garden centers celebrate 50th anniversary this week in the Bronx. The Teddy Roosevelt House for Two Summers and Mark Twain for two years were built as a country house in 1843. In 1960, the lodge was donated to NYC. For the first time in its history, the park will open late in the evening to install new indoor and outdoor showrooms: Chris Doyle's The Lightening: a project for the Wave Hill Aquarium. The lighting, animation and sound settings change from day to night and are embedded in three large sculptured sculptures surrounding a watery aquarium.Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades in the Bronx.
