About 4 months ago I decided to take the leap into to unknown. I left a comfortable job as a retail buyer to pursue my passion - Art. I felt like the time was now or never! Since then I have learnt that being an artist full time isn't only about producing art, it's about marketing. You need to be able to sell yourself to be able to sell your art. This is something that I have had to learn to embrace. I am quiet... a homebody. I tend to keep to myself. "Shouldn't the art speak for itself I thought"? But then all you need to do is go onto pages like etsy to see that there are millions of others trying to do the same thing. So here I am. Trying to branch out. I'm not a writer (as you can blatantly see) but in order you connect with you, to bring you into my art, I am willing to try any means possible to make myself accessible. I've started a youtube channel showing myself at work. I'm on instagram, twitter, facebook, redbubble and society6. The thing that I'm finding though, is that you start to spend more time trying to keep all of these different internet networking sites updated that you start to spend less time actually making art! So what's the secret?? Once I find out I'll be sure to let you know!
